Regional Distribution Manager at Tarmac
Are you an experienced Distribution or Logistics Manager? Do you thrive on delivering quality results – ‘right place at the right time’? This role requires you to manage teams that consistently achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction and optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the effective implementation of the logistics strategy.
* Manage, motivate, and coach delivery planners and customer service teams, reviewing performance and building employee capability.
* Provide robust customer service, differentiating between compliance and service levels.
* Optimise the distribution schedule to maximise fleet productivity at the lowest cost, ensuring on‑time, in‑full delivery outcomes.
* Deliver monthly key metrics and performance reports, creating solutions to address underperformance and drive business improvement.
* Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities within the distribution department, ensuring the most economical supply source is utilised.
Ideal Candidate
* Commercially astute with experience in a similar logistics environment.
* Proven people‑management skills and experience leading customer‑service and planning teams.
* Strong negotiation and exceptional customer‑service abilities.
* Demonstrated capability to inspire business performance and drive improvements.
* Excellent coaching, planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
* High integrity, confidence, and the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
