Litigation Lawyer needed in Central London Paying £45 per hr ref OR23300 Full time hours on a temporary basis Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice on housing management, landlord & tenant matters, and general litigation issues. Conduct litigation including: Anti‑social behaviour injunctions and possession claims Committal applications Tenancy fraud possession claims Access injunctions Housing disrepair claims Environmental Protection Act prosecutions Court of Protection applications Money claims Prepare and draft pleadings including notices, claim forms, particulars of claim, defences, replies, counterclaims, injunctions, committal applications, witness statements, case summaries, chronologies, and trial bundles. Brief Counsel and conduct advocacy where appropriate. Support or lead on other contentious matters such as: First‑tier Tribunal cases Trespass and Right of Way disputes Easement breaches Contract and lease disputes Liaise with external solicitors when cases require outside instruction. Help develop and improve the in‑house legal service, including refining procedures and workflows. Ensure strong communication with internal clients and effective case management. Support witnesses involved in anti‑social behaviour cases, including occasional out‑of‑hours visits. Maintain accurate and compliant data records, case notes, and legal registers. Keep up to date with legal, regulatory, and best‑practice developments relevant to the role. Support junior colleagues and collaborate with senior team members as needed. Maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and suppliers. Provide cover for colleagues within the litigation team when required.
