St Anne’s School and Sixth Form College in Hessle are looking for an outstanding person to join our exceptional team as an Apprentice Nursery Nurse working under the direction of the class teacher to provide early years education within the specifications of the Early Years Framework.
As a school for students with complex medical needs and Severe Learning Difficulties, the Apprentice Nursery Nurse will play a key role in providing a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Show superb communication skills with children, young people, their carers and other agencies.
* Be proactive and show initiative.
* Be a trustworthy role model in and around our school community.
* Respect and maintain confidentiality while adhering to safeguarding principles at all times.
* Demonstrate genuine care for children, especially those who find learning and managing their behaviour difficult.
* Assist with personal care tasks such as feeding, changing and toileting, and other manual handling where necessary.
Requirements
* Complete the Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship (fixed term of 24 months or the duration of the apprenticeship if successfully achieved earlier).
* Have the necessary skills and a willingness to complete training for a Special Needs Education setting.
* Have a legal right to work in the UK.
