Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse active on the NMC register to join the Mental Health Nursing Team in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health at the University of Southampton. The team is experienced, friendly, and supportive and is enthusiastic and committed to developing the Mental Health Nurses of the future.
Responsibilities
* Deliver face‑to‑face teaching for the nationally recognised pre‑registration BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing, Integrated Masters of Nursing leading to registration as a Mental Health/Adult Nurse or Children’s/Mental Health Nurse, and the 2‑year MSc Mental Health Nursing programmes.
* Apply contemporary clinical practice in Mental Health Nursing to education and research, and lead a dynamic vision for how education and research can transform mental health care across the lifespan.
* Share expertise with students and contribute to curriculum development and assessment.
Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health Nurse on the NMC register.
* Master’s level qualification in a relevant field.
* Educational experience preferred, but a passion for teaching and commitment to student learning is essential.
* Experience working with children, young people, and families or extensive knowledge of working with older people is desirable.
