GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Derby. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them to engage positively in their learning and develop essential skills. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant: Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with behavioural needs. Implement behaviour management strategies and encourage positive choices. Support pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development. Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistent approaches to behaviour support. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment. Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant: Previous experience working with children with additional needs or behavioural challenges is desirable. Strong interpersonal, communication, and de-escalation skills. Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude in supporting pupils. A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one. A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible, with all gaps explained.
