GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Burton upon Trent. This is a great opportunity to support children at a crucial stage of their learning, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Role Overview: As a KS2 TA, you will provide classroom support to the teacher and pupils, helping to deliver engaging lessons and ensuring all children can access the curriculum. You will work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to offer tailored support, enabling pupils to build confidence and reach their full potential. As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will: Assist the class teacher in delivering creative and effective KS2 lessons. Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils to help them progress in core subjects. Encourage positive behaviour, teamwork, and active participation in learning. Support with preparing classroom resources and maintaining displays. Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher. Requirements for KS2 Teaching Assistant: Experience working with KS2 pupils or within school setting. A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential). Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and support young learners. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
