About The Role
We are recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join our expanding team based at our head office site in Barton-upon-Humber. The candidate will work 5 days per week from Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30.
Key responsibilities:
1. Create and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely updates to internal systems.
2. Communicate with supplier and the warehouse to confirm delivery details and resolve issues.
3. Support the team with sourcing-related tasks including supplier research and evaluation.
4. Assist with preparing procurement reports, maintaining order books and monitoring inventory levels.
5. Liaise with internal departments to address general procurement or customer service queries.
6. Assist in project work by researching, compiling data and handling routine queries.
7. Perform general administration tasks as needed.
About You
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
8. Previous experience in a purchasing role is desired but not essential
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
11. Highly organised with a good attention to detail and strong time management skills
12. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and meet deadlines.
