Mental Health Social Worker - Adult Services
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Locum Mental Health Social Worker to join Adult Services in Calderdale.
We are seeking a confident and knowledgeable practitioner with strong mental health experience, particularly in relation to Section 117 aftercare responsibilities, to support individuals with complex needs within a multi-disciplinary environment.

Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality statutory social work interventions within Mental Health Services
* Undertake assessments and care planning in line with relevant legislation
* Manage and coordinate Section 117 aftercare duties
* Work collaboratively with health colleagues and partner agencies
* Support individuals with complex mental health needs
* Contribute to safeguarding and risk management processes
* Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
* Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification
* Social Work England (SWE) registration
* Significant experience within Adult Mental Health Services
* Demonstrable Section 117 experience (essential)
* Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Care Act, and Mental Capacity Act
* Excellent assessment and analytical skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
