Our client, a leading consultancy in the rail sector, is currently seeking an experienced NEC Supervisor to join a major rail infrastructure project in Ireland. This role will provide on-site supervision and assurance across a broad range of civils, track, and signalling works, ensuring delivery is completed in accordance with NEC contract requirements, technical standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day site supervision across civils, track, and signalling activities.
Ensure all works comply with NEC contract obligations, including defect management and communications.
Monitor contractor workmanship, quality standards, and adherence to technical specifications.
Assist with early warnings, risk identification, and resolution of on-site issues.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and progress.
Support engineering and project management teams with reporting and site intelligence.
Verify that all works are completed safely and in compliance with Irish rail regulations and CDM principles.
Conduct audits, quality checks, and site walkdowns as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as an NEC Supervisor or similar site assurance role on major infrastructure projects.
Strong background within the rail sector, ideally covering civils, track, and signalling works.
Solid understanding of NEC contract procedures and supervisory duties under ECC.
Excellent awareness of site safety, quality control, and compliance requirements.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Engineering, construction, or rail industry qualification desirable.
Experience working with national rail organisations or Tier 1 contractors in Ireland or the UK is beneficial.
