Job Advertisement: Operations Administration - AVP\n\nPosition: Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Operations Administration\n\nIndustry: Financial Services\n\nContract Length: 12 Months\n\nLocation: HEX\n\nAbout Us\n\nOur client is a leading organisation in the financial services sector, dedicated to maintaining a robust operational framework and ensuring effective risk management. We are seeking an experienced AVP to join our Operations and Administrative Department (OAD) within the Planning Risk and Control team.\n\nRole Overview\n\nThe AVP for Operations Administration will play a critical role in supporting the section manager to ensure comprehensive risk management practises are embedded within OAD. This position is essential for promoting a transparent risk culture, ensuring operational incidents are managed effectively, and maintaining a robust control environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nIdentify, assess, and manage risks in line with the organisation's risk appetite.\nPromote an effective risk culture within OAD, ensuring all operational incidents are reported, reviewed, and appropriately mitigated.\nReview and challenge Management Information (MI) generated by various sections, ensuring effective performance of day-to-day controls.\nCollaborate with OAD section heads to develop and enhance MI reporting in response to changes in the business environment.\nReview operational risk incidents and ensure accurate recording in the Bank's incident reporting system (Connected Risk).\nConduct periodic analyses of operational risk incidents for discussion in monthly governance meetings.\nTrack and monitor the timely completion of actions related to operational incidents and risk issues in collaboration with issue owners and the Risk Management Department (RMD).\nPrepare and distribute management reports and MI packs across OAD/ODED, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed.\nLead governance meetings, providing constructive challenge and proposing actionable solutions to address identified issues.\nAssist in defining and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for OAD.\nMaintain and enhance departmental procedures related to risk and control.\nContribute to initiatives aimed at departmental cost control.Candidate Requirements\n\nFamiliarity with operational risk management concepts, particularly within a banking operations context.\nStrong articulation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organisational levels, both verbally and in writing.\nProficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical skills (experience with VLOOKUP and pivot tables is essential).\nProven ability to work collaboratively within a team and build relationships across departments.\nExceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
