Our client, a respected educational institution in Harrow, Greater London, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our dedicated team. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering tailored educational programmes that cater to the unique needs of our diverse student population, ensuring they receive the support and guidance necessary to reach their full potential. In this role, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including learning support assistants, therapists, and other professionals, to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Your primary responsibilities will involve planning and implementing individualised lessons, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with parents and caregivers to provide a holistic approach to their child's educational journey. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of SEN strategies and a genuine passion for empowering students with diverse learning needs. You will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, the ability to adapt your teaching style to meet the individual requirements of each student, and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of SEN education. Offering a competitive salary range of £37,869.52 to £50,474 per annum, our client is dedicated to attracting and retaining the best talent in the industry. If you meet the following qualifications and possess the desired skills and experience, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding role: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK Minimum of 2 years' experience as an SEN Teacher, preferably in a similar educational setting Strong understanding of the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice and its application Expertise in designing and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans Demonstrated success in delivering engaging and effective lessons that cater to the diverse needs of SEN students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams Proficient in the use of assistive technologies and digital tools to enhance the learning experience Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay current with the latest trends and best practices in SEN education Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that address the specific needs of SEN students Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans Monitor student progress, provide regular feedback, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Maintain detailed records and documentation to track student progress and inform future planning Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's SEN policies and procedures Participate in regular professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge Promote a inclusive, nurturing, and supportive learning environment for all students Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you believe you are the ideal candidate for this role.
