Overview
Are you an ambitious engineer with a passion for automation and control systems? We\'re looking for a Junior Controls Engineer to join a well-established but growing team, working on cutting-edge industrial automation and machinery projects across a variety of sectors. You\'ll be involved in the design, programming, and commissioning of PLC-based control systems for automated machinery. Working closely with senior engineers, you\'ll gain hands-on experience with Siemens (TIA Portal / Step 7) and Allen-Bradley (RSLogix / Studio 5000) platforms, as well as exposure to HMIs, drives, sensors, and industrial networking.
Responsibilities
* Assist in developing and modifying PLC and HMI programs (Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley).
* Support system integration, testing, and on-site commissioning of automated machinery.
* Work with electrical design and mechanical teams to deliver complete automation solutions.
* Troubleshoot control system issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Prepare project documentation, wiring diagrams, and functional descriptions.
Qualifications
* Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical, Control, or Automation Engineering (or similar).
* Some experience or academic exposure to PLC programming and industrial automation.
* Familiarity with control panel design, sensors, actuators, and safety systems.
* A hands-on, problem-solving attitude with strong attention to detail.
