Principal CE&I Protection Engineer - Hybrid (Sellafield Project)
Location: Warrington - 1 day per week on-site, 4 days WFH (with occasional site visits)
£56-61/hour Inside IR35
Project: Sellafield Electrical Distribution Network Upgrade - Infrastructure Strategic Alliance
The Opportunity:
Join the CE&I design team delivering power systems and protection engineering for a high-profile Sellafield project. You'll play a key role in shaping the Electrical Distribution Network Upgrade through cutting-edge modelling, fault analysis, and protection system design.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the project's working ETAP model
Produce and review fault calculations
Support protection and control system design for 11kV & 400V networks
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs
Essential Experience:
Strong knowledge of BS EN 60909 Fault Calculations
Skilled in power distribution modelling software
Hands-on experience with protection and control systems (11kV & 400V)
Desirable Experience:
Familiarity with Sellafield Design Processes
Experience with CAD tools such as Trimble, ERACs, Digsilent
Knowledge of IEC61850 and power systems SCADAs
Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership in a relevant discipline
