The opportunity
We're seeking an ambitious Senior Finance Manager who is ready to step into a Head of Finance role within 6-12 months. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth e-commerce business at a pivotal moment and build the financial infrastructure that will support our ambitious expansion plans.

Location: Fully remote (with occasional ad hoc team meetings at our Bradford office + manufacturing site, travel expenses covered)
Salary: £60,000 - £75, % year-end bonus
Reporting to: Founder, Head of Operations, Director of Finance & Strategy
Key responsibilities:
Over the next 12 months, you will:
1. Overhaul our financial infrastructure - Establish standardised accounting processes, implement robust internal controls, and create a "genuine" reporting system that gives management complete visibility into cash flow and business performance
2. Lead month-end close for the group (UK + US entities & consolidated accounts) - Deliver accurate financial statements (PL + BS) within 5-7 days of month end (this is critical for fast decision-making in our growth phase).
3. Catch up historic financials - Prepare and reconcile financials from January 2023 to present, bringing everything current over the coming months.
4. Compliance - ensure compliant management accounting to accruals based IFRS + GAAP frameworks. VAT and Corporate tax filings.
5. Prepare for audit - Work toward having our financials audited within 6-9 months, ensuring all documentation and processes meet audit-ready standards
6. Drive strategic planning - Maintain rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts, produce payment runs for approval,optimise the net working capital cycle, and provide deep-dive analysis to guide growth decisions

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA)
E-commerce accounting expertise - You understand digital unit economics, contribution margins, and the unique challenges of online retail
Hands-on experience with e-commerce finance tools: Shopify, A2X, Xero, Dext, Syft
Experience standardising month-end processes to achieve rapid close (5-7 days)
Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS compliance requirements
Multi-currency and multi-entity accounting experience
