2026 Graduate Programme – Transport & Infrastructure – PMCM

WSP is looking for graduates to join the PMCM team in the UK & Ireland. The programme offers a two-year blended learning experience covering core business and professional skills, career development workshops, mentoring for professional registration, and on-the-job experience across a wide range of projects.


Locations

* London, Manchester or Birmingham – Civils Infrastructure & Utilities
* Leeds or Manchester – Rail
* London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Belfast, Manchester, Sheffield, Cardiff or Bristol – Buildings
* UK Wide – Programme Solutions


Roles and Responsibilities


PMCM – Civils Infrastructure & Utilities

* Plan, coordinate and deliver complex civil infrastructure and utilities projects.
* Support project planning, scheduling, risk management and budgeting.
* Prepare documentation, reports and presentations.
* Communicate with internal teams, clients and stakeholders.
* Assist with contract administration and financial monitoring.
* Help promote health, safety and sustainability across all project phases.


PMCM – Rail

* Assist in developing detailed project plans, timelines, budgets and risk management.
* Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
* Support budgeting, cost estimation, tracking and reporting.
* Manage RFIs, warnings and general communications.
* Maintain accurate project documentation and support change management.
* Visit sites as required.


PMCM – Buildings

* Plan and monitor project progress against schedules.
* Manage risks and support stakeholder engagement.
* Develop and track cost estimates.
* Assist with contract management and procurement.
* Support design and construction phases.


PMCM – Programme Solutions

* Maintain and update project schedules.
* Support document control and version management.
* Prepare performance reports (cost, schedule, KPIs).
* Develop dashboards and analytics for project controls.
* Collaborate with delivery teams for data‑driven decision making.


Graduate Development Programme

The two-year programme provides core business and professional skills training, career development workshops, networking opportunities, mentoring for professional registration, and a breadth of on‑the‑job experience.


Qualifications & Experience

* Graduate (or final year) with at least a 2:1 in a relevant master’s or bachelor’s degree.
* Pass the application form and a skill‑enabler assessment.
* Start work in April or September 2026.
* Passion for project management or surveying.
* Desire for the built environment, infrastructure and the economy.
* Professional attitude in engaging with clients, stakeholders and colleagues.
* Creativity, problem‑solving drive and ability to inspire.

* Graduated with a 2:1 or better.
* Engagement with clients, stakeholders and colleagues professionally.
* Ability to develop tailored solutions and solve complex problems.
* Enthusiasm for new ideas and innovation.
* Desire to build a career with WSP.
