✨ Creative Classroom Assistant – SEN School, Leeds ✨
Location: LS8, Leeds
Pay: £90 – £120 per day (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Are you bursting with creativity and a love for working with children? If you can turn a cardboard box into a spaceship, a paintbrush into a magic wand, or a storybook into an adventure — we want YOU in our classroom!
We’re looking for a Creative Classroom Assistant to join a warm and welcoming SEN school in Leeds. You’ll be supporting fantastic young learners with Autism, ADHD, and other complex needs — helping them shine in their own unique ways, while making learning fun and engaging every single day.
Your Role
* Team up with teachers to make lessons exciting and accessible
* Use your artistic, musical, or dramatic talents to bring learning to life
* Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to boost confidence and independence
* Keep the classroom running smoothly (yes, even hunting for those missing glue lids!)
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a safe and happy learning space
About You
* Professional childcare experience (essential)
* Creative, compassionate, and genuinely enjoy working with children
* Experience with SEN is a bonus, but a positive attitude is most important
* Patient, adaptable, and ready to get involved with singing, dancing, and hands-on learning
* Keen to develop new skills — full training and support provided
What’s in It for You?
* The chance to make a real difference in children’s lives
* A fun, inclusive, and supportive school environment
* Ongoing training and opportunities for professional growth
* The possibility of a permanent role after a successful trial
