Whether you're an established engineer or a hands-on Technician looking for that next challenge, we want to hear from you.Your Role:As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be part of a dedicated maintenance team, ensuring the mechanical integrity of our plant through preventative and reactive maintenance. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining safe, efficient operations—and if you’re stepping up from a Technician role, you’ll get the support you need to succeed.What You’ll Be Doing:Ensuring Safety & Compliance – Champion health, safety, and environmental standards across all maintenance activities.Supporting or Leading Technicians – Depending on your experience, take the lead or begin building your leadership skills while supporting performance and development.Optimising Plant Performance – Troubleshoot faults, analyse root causes, and implement effective solutions to meet key performance indicators.Delivering Planned Maintenance – Use our CMMS to schedule and carry out preventative maintenance, improving reliability and reducing downtime.Managing Outages & Contractors – Support or manage planned outages, working closely with contractors to complete maintenance efficiently and safely.Driving Continuous Improvement – Help develop and deliver mechanical compliance strategies, always looking for ways to raise the bar.What We’re Looking For:HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Engineering discipline (or working towards it)Experience in Energy from Waste, power generation, or a similar heavy industryA problem-solving mindset and strong mechanical aptitudeLeadership experience—or the desire and potential to grow into a leadership roleHealth & Safety qualifications (IOSH or NEBOSH) – desirableFamiliarity with CDM regulations and safe systems of work – a plusWho are enfinium? enfinium is one of the largest energy-from-waste businesses in the UK and an industry leader in the conversion of non-recyclable residential and business waste into heat and partially renewable power. enfinium currently has a platform of six (two in construction) strategically located facilities across the UK.
