Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that delight our guests while maintaining the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and organisation.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
* Present dishes in an appealing manner, ensuring quality and taste are consistently met
* Assist in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
* Experience in meal preparation and food presentation
* Understanding of food safety standards and regulations
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
* A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes
* Previous kitchen experience is preferred, along with the ability to work as part of a team
