Description As UL Solutions expands its global footprint, we are seeking a Senior Product Specialist to develop and grow the Retail and Consumer Products business within EMEA. In this role, you'll be responsible for assessing markets, exploring new services, and tailoring our existing offerings to suit larger, A-grade clients in our region, specifically supermarkets and multi-product retailers. This is a remote-based role within the UK and will involve significant business travel and work outside of the office. Responsibilities Works with Account Managers or the Outside Sales team as opportunities are limited to close the sale. Develops and presents sales proposals, systems solutions and closes complex technical sales opportunities as needed. Develops and maintains a highly technical knowledge of ULS products and services and can communicate the value proposition to clients effectively. Supports junior staff with complex details of ULS products and services. Helps to develop and expand their understanding of ULS products and services. Identifies and resolves a wide range of issues with little or no supervision. Coaches and mentors lower-level staff on effective direct sales skills and sales processes. Qualifications University Degree (Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree) in an Engineering field or a related discipline, plus generally eight years of directly related experience. Essential experience dealing with multi-product private label retailers (e.g., toys, apparel, cosmetics, furniture). Proven experience establishing global programs with retailers based in EMEA Recognised as a product or service subject matter expert by peers, customers, and industry leaders. Ability to gain cooperation from others and present technical information concerning specific projects or schedules to senior-level management and customers.
