Do you have a passion for ensuring the Safety and Security of guests and employees in a luxury setting? Then The Park Tower Knightsbridge, a Luxury Collection Hotel has an exciting opportunity for a Duty Security Officer to join our team.
As Duty Security Officer you will:
Be a key member of the Security / Loss Prevention team within the hotel working both day and night shifts, reporting to the Loss Prevention Manager. You are the face of the hotel and are here to ensure that all of our guests and employees have a safe and secure environment to enjoy their stay and work within.
Key Tasks you will carry out:
1. Patrol all areas of the property; assist guests with room access.
2. Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system.
3. Lock property entrances when required.
4. Conduct daily physical hazard inspections.
5. Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required.
6. Assist guests/employees during emergency situations.
7. Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents.
8. Defuse guest/employee disturbances.
9. Call for outside assistance if necessary.
10. Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents.
11. Handle all interruptions and complaints.
12. Resolve safety hazard situations.
13. Escort any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation.
14. Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts.
15. Call for assistance using proper code responses.
16. Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report.
17. Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents; release information only to authorized individuals.
18. Conduct investigations and gather evidence.
19. Conduct interviews with relevant parties.
In general you will follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. In addition, some states may have additional licensing/registration requirements to be considered for this position.
