The fuels instructor role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a small team, delivering dynamic fuel training to military personnel as well as managing Distributed Training Courses. This position is both varied and exciting for those looking to learn and develop their skills in a military environment.

Key responsibilities:

Preparation and delivery of the Defence Fuels and Lubricant (F&L) Managers course, support Pet Lab courses and conduct administration and assurance of Distributed Training for all Bulk Fuel Carrying Vehicles to include some site visits.
Deliver all aspects of fuel training delivered within courses conducted at DPSTS, part of LSTW (Logistics Specialist Training Wing), DSLA.
Due to the variety of ranks of Service Personnel (SP) and grades of Civil Servants (CS), applicants will need to be effective communicators and confident when delivering complex lesson content.
Examination of individuals in accordance with DSLA Standing Instructions and LSTW Directives.
Maintain the discipline and manage the welfare of instructors and students on F&L courses.
Ensure the preparation and daily management of classrooms, lessons, training aids and all other material necessary for the delivery of courses.
Control of the preparation, setting and marking of progress tests and final examinations, through the Examinations Manager.
Liaise and take follow up action on remarks made on Internal Validations.
Ensuring that any civilian legislation or military policy changes are applied to course content by means of the DF (Defence Fuels) Course Improvement Form (CIF) process. ECMR Electronic Course Maint Request.
Acting as Subject Matter Expert on all aspects of F&L training.
Be conversant with all elements of the Supervisory Care Directives.
Carry out periodic assurance checks on all delivery documentation to ensure compliance and relevance, working closely with other departments where appropriate.
Develop course content based on student feedback.
Generate a robust annual training programme.
Support other courses where required.
Collaborate with other team members and military colleagues to deliver an exciting training programme to a Tri-Service audience.
