Supply Desk is excited to be working with a welcoming primary school in Watford, recognised for its inclusive ethos and supportive learning environment. We are looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting right away.
Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning and development. Your role will be key in helping children build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support
* Assist with classroom organisation and encourage positive behaviour
* Adapt learning materials to meet diverse needs and interests
* Support lesson delivery and classroom activities
* Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
* Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing
Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
* Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
* Confident in supporting classroom routines and behaviour management
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Knowledge of inclusive education and safeguarding practices
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
