We're searching for a motivated, methodical, solution orientated individual to join our team to deliver a world class user experience through a comprehensive pre/post production quality assured product.
The role plays an important part in our company's product development process. You will be responsible for conducting tests and engaging with our engineers to grow and keep track of our evolving test coverage. It's a hands-on role that lends itself to someone who thinks logically and rationally around 'real world' user test cases. An agile approach to workload is required due to changing team priorities over multiple projects.
We value a highly collaborative approach, with daily stand-ups to ensure team transparency, however the role also requires someone who can apply concentrated effort through intensive testing cycles when priorities demand it.
Requirements
* Experience as a proven Quality Assurance Tester.
* Ability to meticulously document and troubleshoot errors.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to collaborate with team members across product, development, support and key stakeholders to constantly review our processes and testing approaches.
* Ability to direct the team's QA efforts to ensure focus is always on the highest team priority.
* Ability to work within typical UK working week hours.
* Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
* Ability to apply concentrated focus on intensive testing cycles when required.
* Strong organisational / time management skills.
* Ability to think in the abstract and see how small details fit into the bigger picture.
* Above all else, attention to detail / a meticulous approach to tasks.
Ideal Skills, but not required
* Experience in automated testing.
* Familiarity with Agile development processes.
* Experience working across timezones.
Typical duties include:
* Regular testing of new features or bug fixes for mobile and web platforms.
* Logging bugs - with well-defined replication steps and expected behaviour.
* Running focussed regression test plans.
* Supporting communication between product, development and support teams.
* Liaising with stakeholders to confirm expected behaviour of the platform.
* Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans.
* Help troubleshoot issues with the development team.
