Post: Locum Specialty Dentist in Orthodontics
Base: Glasgow Dental Hospital & School
Position: 0.2 WTE, fixed term 6 months within the Orthodontics, Secondary Care Dental.
The post holder will join one of the busiest orthodontic departments in the UK. Opportunities exist for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, quality improvement and participation in research. The department has close links with other dental specialties within Glasgow Dental Hospital as well as surgical specialities in the Royal Hospital for Children and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist level care for multidisciplinary orthodontic patients under consultant supervision.
* Support the consultant team with referral management.
* Contribute to service development.
Qualifications
* Full GDC registration.
* Minimum of 4 years of relevant postgraduate dentistry experience.
* Experience of Orthodontic service provision in an NHS hospital.
* Ability to demonstrate a full understanding of the provision of an Orthodontic service within a UK context.
* Desirable but not essential to be on the GDC Specialist List for Orthodontics.
