Starting Pay
$26.69+ 7% nightshift differential. Increase at 1 year to $29.16+ 7% nightshift differential.
General Duties
* Conduct laboratory testing following PMO, Standard Methods for the Dairy Industry, and FDA 2400 methods.
* Pull, log, and analyze finish product and processing samples.
* Sample incoming raw materials and packaging for quality acceptance.
* Audit CIP chemical concentrations for compliance.
* Prepare media and lab controls, including pour plates and buffers.
* Operate autoclave and ensure sterility of plates and equipment.
* Assist with lab equipment preventive maintenance.
* Inoculate batch tanks with enzymes and vitamins, and record usage.
* Maintain cleanliness and setup for shelf life testing.
* Participate in environmental testing (swabbing, air plating, water sampling).
* Verify sanitation of plant equipment before startup.
* Perform tasks related to food safety and product quality.
Education and Experience
* BS/BA in a related science or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing quality role.
* Experience in food manufacturing.
* Knowledge of microbiology, chemistry, dairy standards, and CIP sanitation.

Physical Requirements
* Standing for long periods (8+ hours).
* Sitting briefly as needed.
