As Head of Commodity Core Engine Small & Aero Gas Turbines you will lead and develop a high-performing team of commodity managers. Your role is essential to develop and implement commodity strategies that support our growing business, increase resilience of the supply chain, and drive cost out. You will work closely with key stakeholders in the business, such as the heads of procurement in each business and Corporate Procurement.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Develop and implement commodity strategies for direct material for small and aero gas turbine auxiliaries
2. Improve supply chain resilience and adjust sourcing strategies to changing global risk patterns through development of suppliers in new sourcing regions and strong supplier relationship management
3. Closely cooperate with cross-functions and internal stakeholders to provide professional commodity management to the business, including guidance on cost-out opportunities, risk management, and new technologies & trends in the supply chain
4. Actively participate in the development Procurement and Commodity Management
What You Bring
5. Proven skills in managing teams and developing people
6. University degree in a technical or business related field
7. A collaborative and inclusive leadership style that fosters accountability and ownership within the team
8. Track record in commodity strategy, contract management and capacity expansion initiatives
9. Capability to negotiate and to operate in different cultures
10. Knowledge of working with a global supplier base, in a functional matrix environment
