Maintenance Programme and Configuration Engineer
We are looking for proactive individuals to join the Maintenance Programmes and Configuration team within British Airways Engineering's Technical department.
You will be responsible for reviewing aircraft maintenance and component configuration requirements, ensuring these are correctly translated into our IT system and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Working with internal, external and regulatory stakeholders, you will help maintain aircraft airworthiness and support project work such as new aircraft entry into service, aircraft retirements and data manipulation.
What you'll do
* Technical development, setup, maintenance and regulatory compliance of the Aircraft Maintenance
* Manage all aspects of Continuing Airworthiness requirements to improve safety, reliability and cost performance for BA's fleet, including the setup and control of AMIs, maintenance plans, master parts list and aircraft configuration
* Assess regulatory authority requirements and directives and implement actions to ensure compliance
* Review manufacturer communications to assess operational impact on safety, reliability and commercial implications
* Assess, check and approve technical changes to the Approved Maintenance Programme to improve safety and reduce costs
* Represent the company on a technical basis at industry working groups/meetings as required
* Maintain safety and airworthiness compliance through accurate data setup and management of AMP requirements in EWS for aircraft and components
* Manage the aircraft configuration for the fit of rotables using the Master parts list (MPL)
* Set up new aircraft controls and configurations

* Specific knowledge of aircraft maintenance programmes, part configuration management and required controls
Your experience
* Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
* HNC/D in an engineering discipline or equivalent
* Willingness to gain appropriate company or external qualifications as required
