Temporary Role - Currently to July 2026 with liklihood of extension
G12 - £26.68 per hour PAYE / £35.48 per hour Umbrella
Hybrid Working - Typically 2 to 3 days per week in office, remainder remote

About the Role
As a Homeless Support Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
Leadership & Team Management
Leading, motivating, and supporting Homeless Support Officers to deliver innovative homelessness prevention and relief solutions.
Providing monthly case supervision, ensuring casework meets policy, procedural, and legal standards.
Supporting staff development, identifying training needs, and addressing underperformance in line with organisational policies.
Operational Delivery
Ensuring officers prevent and relieve homelessness through landlord mediation, sourcing accommodation, Personal Housing Plans, Discretionary Housing Payments, and tenancy sustainment support.
Overseeing nominations to supported housing schemes and ensuring placements meet legislative, policy, and service standards.
Monitoring performance indicators and contributing to continuous service improvement and housing transformation projects
Complex Casework & Quality Assurance
Managing a small proportion of complex cases (up to 25% of a full-time officer's caseload).
Conducting full assessments, reviewing placement decisions, and ensuring thorough and accurate record‑keeping.
Handling complaints, Member/Mayoral enquiries, and Ombudsman investigations in line with organisational procedures
Partnership & Multi‑Agency Working
Working collaboratively with internal teams such as Adult Social Care, Children's Services, Housing, and Housing Benefits.
Building relationships with external partners including registered providers, police, probation, NHS services, voluntary organisations, and other local authorities.
Participating in multi‑agency panels such as MARAC, MAPPA, and hospital discharge groups.

Ability to build strong internal and external partnerships to support positive outcomes.
