Butcher - Small Independent Butchery
Location: Wolverhampton (WV10)
Hours: 40-48 hours per week
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled butcher to join our small, welcoming team. You'll work across the counter and the prep area to ensure high-quality products and great service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Break down pork carcasses to shop specifications
* Portion and prepare meats accurately and efficiently
* Produce sausages to consistent quality standards
* Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness throughout the workspace.
* Follow stock rotation and labelling practices.
* Provide helpful, polite service to customers.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience cutting pork carcasses
* Confident with meat portioning and sausage production.
* Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
* Good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices.
* Reliable, punctual and a team player.
(Food Hygiene/Safety certificates are a plus.)
