Bitsight is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Sales Development to lead and scale our high-performing Sales Development team located in the US, EMEA, and APAC. As the first point of contact for prospective customers, the SDR team plays a pivotal role in driving our pipeline and supporting Bitsight’s continued growth. This is a leadership position focused on performance, coaching, cross-functional alignment, and strategic and efficient pipeline generation.
The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with a deep understanding of outbound and inbound prospecting, qualification, and discovery. They will have a proven ability to effectively navigate and operate within a complex, multistakeholder environment, demonstrating skill in balancing diverse perspectives and priorities. They will bring experience managing and developing large, high-velocity sales teams in a fast-paced SaaS environment. This role oversees two SDR Managers and a global team of 30+ SDRs.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and develop a growing global team of Sales Development Representatives in a hybrid environments (remote and in-office 3 days per week). Directly manage two SDR Managers and oversee a team of 30+ SDRs.
* Drive daily execution of prospecting strategies—including inbound lead follow-up, outbound outreach, and personalized engagement via calls, emails, and messaging platforms across multiple geographies and prospect segments.
* Monitor and optimize SDR performance metrics such as key performance indicators, lead conversion rates, pipeline contribution, SLAs, activity volume, and quality.
* Implement and refine scalable best practices for prospect research, persona-based messaging, campaign execution, and performance measurement.
* Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to brainstorm campaigns, align messaging, ensure seamless pipeline handoff and achievement of conversion rates and qualified pipeline targets. Ensure strong and effective feedback loops.
* Deliver weekly enablement, training, 1-2-1 and small team coaching sessions, focused on skills development, ongoing learning and delivery of results.
* Conduct regular performance reviews, implement personalized development plans, and foster career growth within the SDR organization.
* Collaborate with Revenue Operations to ensure reporting accuracy and data-driven insights into team effectiveness and ensure team has the right tech stack to deliver.
* Partner with key third-party sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, Drift, Demandbase/6Sense, HubSpot, ChatGPT/Gemini) to drive SDR efficiency and automation.
* Maintain a high-energy, results-oriented culture that emphasizes accountability, motivation, and recognition.
* Engage with talent, revenue operations, sales acceleration partners to support ongoing SDR recruitment, sales competitions, and onboarding programs.
Requirements
* 8+ years of experience in technology/SaaS sales, with 4+ years in a leadership role building and managing Sales Development teams (individuals and managers).
* Proven track record leading, coaching and scaling SDR teams of 15+ in high-growth, fast-paced, high performance environments. This includes both inbound, outbound and blended team models for driving qualified pipeline.
* Data-driven mindset and experience. Proficient in Salesforce reporting and data analytics to track KPIs, forecast pipeline, and make recommendations on adjustments in both strategy and operations for the team.
* Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills with the ability to inspire and develop emerging talent. Ruthless rigor on holding teams accountable to stretch and meet targets through disciplined approach and pipeline management.
* Hands-on experience with tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Drift, and Demandbase/6Sense. Proven experience with AI tools like ChatGPT/Gemini are a must; experience with newer AI driven automation tools specifically for sales acceleration preferred.
* Expertise in sales methodologies and prospecting frameworks, across both inbound and outbound motions.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US$150,000 to $190,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant.
