Responsibilities
Be prepared to handle technical fault-finding, repowering, and upgrading vessels, along with routine repairs and maintenance of marine leisure and commercial vessels, including mechanical aspects of generators.
The role involves working on all boat systems such as inboard/outboard engines, electrical systems, gearboxes, stern drives, IPS, stern gear, generators, pumps, fuel systems, thrusters, hydraulics, lifting, and sea trials.
Working Conditions
Standard hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. Overtime and emergency call-outs over weekends and bank holidays may be required. Overnight stays could be necessary for distant work or training.
Customer Service & Maintenance
Manage your workload efficiently, complete timesheets, maintain service records, use electronic parts catalogues, and communicate effectively with customers, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Minimum five years’ marine engineering experience (references required)
* Strong customer focus and communication skills
* Team player
* Basic IT skills
* Manual UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Forklift licence
* Powerboat Level II
* VHF certification
* Lifting and stropping skills
Alternate titles include Marine Technician, Boat Builder, Mechanical Engineer, among others.
