Office Attendance: Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office 1-2 days per week for this position.

We’re looking for a FC Product Accountant to join our Insurance and Money Services team. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of product financial information used in reporting for our Money Services business. This is a great opportunity to join our Financial Control team during a period of organizational change, enabling the successful applicant to shape the future of the Financial Control function within the organization.
You will work with stakeholders from various business disciplines (Commercial Finance / Tesco Group) to ensure the preparation of complete and accurate financial reports that comply with relevant accounting standards.
Using your effective communication skills, you’ll ensure stakeholders are professionally managed, issues are promptly resolved, governance is adhered to, and opportunities for process improvements are discussed and driven forward.
What you’ll be doing
1. Manage month-end close and balance sheet substantiation to deliver compliant financial reporting.
2. Develop and ensure compliance with a Financial Control Framework, including controls to mitigate risks and reporting on their performance.
3. Engage with third parties to ensure robust financial information supports our ledger.
4. Understand our money services products to support decision-making and future business direction.
5. Resolve queries from internal/external customers or suppliers, including audit queries, with accurate and timely responses.
We need you to have
1. Proven MS Excel skills for creating reports using various data sources and analyzing data trends.
2. Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight month-end deadlines, prioritizing effectively.
3. Strong communication skills to provide technical guidance clearly and concisely.
4. A proactive mindset willing to challenge and improve existing processes.

Additional Information
Role Alignment: Following Tesco's strategic partnership with Barclays, this role will support our Insurance and Money Services team and will remain with Tesco.
