Role
The Programme Management and Commercial Management (PMCM) team is growing here at Stantec and we are open to speaking with Senior Principal or Principal Consultants for future opportunities in 2026. These roles will provide strategic advisory services to clients in our energy sector, focusing on establishing and optimising programme management approaches for large‑scale capital investments.
* Strategic Programme and Financial Leadership: Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects and programmes, from initial planning and design through to execution and completion. Ensure financial efficiency and value by meticulously managing budgets, costs, and commercial aspects, developing comprehensive financial models and forecasts, and conducting regular financial reviews.
* Advanced Performance Analysis and Process Optimisation: Report on performance metrics, analyze data for trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, implement process improvements, and maintain performance dashboards for real‑time insights.
* Executive People Leadership and Transformational Change Management: Create a culture of coaching, innovation, and safety, promote accountability, implement change management strategies, and facilitate training and development programs.
* Strategic Vision and Stakeholder Partnership: Develop and implement innovative strategies aligned with project goals and stakeholder expectations, proactively resolve conflicts, and build strong relationships with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
* Comprehensive Risk Management and Strategic Contract Negotiation: Assess and mitigate risks, develop risk management plans, facilitate stakeholder engagement and negotiations, and lead contract negotiations to secure favourable outcomes.
About You
* Proven experience in extensive programme/project management and commercial acumen, ensuring financial efficiency and value.
* Internal strategic business development skills, acting as a trusted adviser, driving new growth opportunities, and building high‑performing teams.
* Leadership excellence with a track record of successfully leading and managing teams to achieve strategic outcomes.
* Sector‑specific experience in water, energy, or resources highly favourable.
* Professional credentials or chartered status desirable.
* Substantial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform essential duties.
