Willand Pre-School are looking for an Early Years Assistant / Baby Room Assistant (or better known as: Baby Whisperer, Milk Monitor, First Steps Cheerleader!)
About the role:
Do you love tiny humans, messy play, and celebrating very small but very important achievements (like rolling over or holding a spoon)? We’re looking for a caring, energetic Early Years Assistant to help nurture, support and delight our 0–2 year olds during their most important early months.
You’ll be part of a warm, friendly team where cuddles, curiosity and communication are all part of the job description.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Providing loving, responsive care to babies and toddlers
2. Supporting children’s development through play, exploration and everyday routines
3. Changing nappies like a pro and spotting those just-in-time cues.
4. Singing (even if you’re not Beyoncé), reading stories and chatting all day long
5. Helping with feeding times, sleep routines and comfort when needed
6. Creating a safe, stimulating and happy environment
7. Observing, supporting and celebrating each child’s unique development
8. Working closely with colleagues and building strong relationships with families

Qualifications and experience:
15. Minimum of Level 2 Early Years qualification (or working towards) –
16. Experience with 0–4 year olds – desirable but not essential
