Job Description
An exciting full‑time opportunity has arisen within the Hospitality Department for a General Hospitality Manager based at our Crewe Campus site. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of both the Eatery, Barista and Bar areas at our Radius headquarters, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional customer service, and high standards across all aspects of service delivery.
This is a hands‑on management role within a fast‑paced environment, requiring strong leadership, organisation, and attention to detail. You will work closely with the Head of Hospitality and the wider team to deliver a first‑class experience for colleagues and visitors, whilst maintaining compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
You’ll oversee daily service, support the team in food preparation and delivery, manage stock and financial controls, and lead by example to ensure our hospitality spaces reflect the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
This is a Monday to Friday position based at our Crewe Campus, reporting directly to our Head of Hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the Eatery, Barista and bar areas across the Campus site.
* Lead by example to deliver an exceptional level of customer service at all times.
* Support the team in the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages.
* Ensure all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene procedures are fully implemented and compliant with legal standards.
* Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control in line with budget requirements.
* Monitor financial performance, assisting with cost control and margin management.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation across all hospitality areas.
* Motivate, train, and support team members to achieve service and operational excellence.
* Act as site lead in the absence of the Head of Hospitality, ensuring continuity of service and operational efficiency.
* Line Management responsibilities for an established team of 6 staff members with the potential to grow.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a catering or hospitality management role.
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
* A proactive and solution‑focused approach to daily operations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining service quality.
* Sound understanding of food hygiene, health and safety, and compliance procedures.
* Financial awareness with experience in stock control and cost management.
* Flexible, reliable, and confident in managing a busy, fast‑paced environment.
* Have strong food knowledge and creativity to plan and deliver weekly food specials.
* Experience managing a site‑based team.
Additional Information
Campus/HQ Site – 30k per annum – Mon‑Fri 8‑4pm – Some ad hoc evening work required
