Key Requirements
Industry experience in the construction industry and an interest in a teaching career is required. Potential subjects include Principles of Electrical Design and Installation, Science Principles for BSE, and Sustainable Construction.
We are specifically looking for teachers with experience in building services engineering. We will discuss your areas of expertise in more detail at interview.
The ability to communicate effectively with adults and young people is essential. Experience of teaching at National and Higher National level is desirable. Possession of (or willingness to achieve) a Certificate in Education will be essential. Teacher training will be provided if necessary.
Additional Information
This role is eligible for the DfE Levelling Up Premium Payments, up to £6,000 for FE teachers who meet the criteria. Leeds College of Building will fund successful candidates to become a qualified FE teacher.
