We are seeking dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants to join our team, providing crucial support on a supply basis across local schools in Lancashire. This is an ideal role for individuals with experience in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), particularly those skilled in targeted interventions. The Role of a Secondary TA: Your primary focus will be on providing 1:1 support and leading small group intervention sessions for students who require additional educational, emotional, or behavioural assistance. 1:1 Support: Work individually with students, often those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to help them access the curriculum. Small Group Interventions: Lead targeted groups in literacy and numeracy boosters or subject-specific catch-up sessions. Classroom Assistance: Support the main teacher in general classroom duties and resource preparation. Behaviour Management: Implement individual support plans (ISPs) and effective strategies for behaviour support. We Are Looking For: Proven experience as a Secondary Teaching Assistant, LSA, or SEN Support Worker. Knowledge of supporting students with various SEN (e.g., ASD, SEMH, Dyslexia). Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with teenagers. Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 TA qualification) is highly desirable, but relevant experience is essential.
