Age UK Mid Mersey - Service Manager
Age UK Mid Mersey is seeking a passionate Service Manager to lead our Information, Advice, and Living Well Offer. This vital support system assists older people across St Helens, Halton, Knowsley, and Warrington to live independently, confidently, and with dignity. The role involves overseeing and shaping a flagship service that integrates Information & Advice, casework, digital inclusion, and social connection activities, helping thousands navigate challenges from fuel poverty to social isolation.
What you'll do:
1. Manage and develop our Living Well offer, ensuring quality advice, signposting, and practical support.
2. Lead a team of staff and volunteers across multiple locations, promoting a holistic, person-centred approach.
3. Ensure service quality aligns with Age UK's standards and the Advice Quality Standard.
4. Build partnerships with statutory and voluntary sectors to tailor services to local needs.
5. Champion innovation and continuous improvement to provide timely support for older people.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in managing advice services or senior advisory roles with supervisory responsibilities.
* Strong leadership skills and experience supporting geographically dispersed teams.
* Knowledge of the health, social care, and welfare rights landscape.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to promoting equality, dignity, and independence in later life.
* Ability to travel independently across the Mid Mersey region.
