Senior or Principal Environmental Consultant – Arup
We're looking for a Senior or Principal Environmental Consultant at Arup. In this role you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects that make a tangible difference to communities and the environment. Your expertise will help shape sustainable solutions across the water sector, ensuring our projects meet regulatory requirements and deliver long‑term value.
What you'll do
You will work closely with client teams and specialist colleagues to shape, develop and deliver Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), ensuring robust reporting and full regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and design, lead the preparation and coordination of EIA reports and provide expert advice on environmental policy, regulations and best practice. You will build strong relationships with regulators, stakeholders and clients, support compliance with environmental standards and guide projects through approval processes, while monitoring and reporting on the implementation of environmental management plans throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
* Full membership of an appropriate institute such as ISEP or CIWEM.
* Proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects in the water sector.
* Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices. Experience of the Development Consent Order consenting regime is desirable but not essential.
