Lynx is working with an innovative space technology company to recruit for a an experienced and motivated Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer to join the dynamic and rapidly growing team at our state-of-the-art facility in Oxford, UK.
Responsibilities:
* Develop spacecraft mission and system design, including requirements derivation and CONOPS definition
* Perform mission analysis and modelling of spacecraft missions
* Manage platform systems budgets (mass, power, data, fuel)
* Produce mission-level test, verification plans, FMECA, FTA, and FDIR
* Conduct rapid feasibility studies into different scenarios and architectures
* Assist with bid work, providing technical solutions and documentation
* Maintain configuration control of systems work and documentation
* Guide a multi-disciplined team in project delivery
Requirements:
* Diploma, bachelor's, or master's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, or relevant discipline
* 10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering for satellite platform architecture
* Knowledge of systems and project engineering life cycle, including leading project review gates
* Experience in mission and systems architecture definition and CONOPS
* Good knowledge of subsystems & engineering teams (GNC, astrodynamics, C&DH, EPS, RCS, COM, software, ground segment & operations)
* Experience developing systems engineering documentation
* Awareness of the AIT process (manufacture, assembly, functional and environmental testing)
* Basic knowledge of debris removal, end-of-life, in-orbit maintenance or servicing
