Job Description
3. Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
4. Manage and resolve employee grievances and disciplinary cases effectively and in a timely manner.
5. Support managers in handling complex employee relations issues, offering tailored solutions.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
7. Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practices within the not-for-profit sector.
8. Conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports where required.
9. Deliver training sessions to managers on employee relations topics and policy updates.
10. Contribute to projects within the Human Resources department to enhance employee experience.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Employee Relations (ER) Specialist should have:
11. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
12. Proven experience in managing employee relations cases effectively.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport.
14. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
15. Experience working within the not-for-profit or similar sectors is advantageous.
16. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.
