Known for its commitment to community enrichment, it provides a supportive and collaborative working environment.\n\nBenefits include study support, 25 days holiday and enhanced pension contributions as well as a helpful & supportive finance team.\n\nDescription\n\nFinancial Management & Control\n\nAssist in preparing annual budgets and monitor expenditure across departments\n\nSupport budget holders with financial planning and reporting\n\nProduce cost centre reports and assist in regular budget meetings\n\nMonitor creditors/debtors and contribute to process improvements\n\nBanking & Reporting\n\nComplete bank reconciliations, manage BACS runs, and support monthly management accounts\n\nOversee credit cards and ensure timely banking of funds\n\nPurchasing & Income\n\nEnsure prompt and accurate processing of orders and invoices\n\nOversee invoicing for services provided and manage debtor recovery in line with policies\n\nPayroll & Financial Admin\n\nSupport monthly payroll reconciliations and liaise with the payroll provider\n\nAssist in salary variance analysis and ensure accurate staff records on budget systems\n\nContribute to internal and external audit preparation\n\nTeam Leadership\n\nSupervise junior finance staff, support training, and ensure smooth daily operations within the finance office\n\nProfile\n\nA successful Finance Officer should have:\n\nProven experience in accounting or finance roles.\nStrong attention to detail and organisational skills.\nProficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications.\nKnowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.\nA proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.\nAn ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.Job Offer\n\nCompetitive salary up to £32,000 DOE.\nStudy support.\n25 days holiday\nSignificantly enhanced employer pension contribution\nOn site parking\nOn site canteen\nEmployee discounts
