Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students? Do you have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You'll provide personalised 1:1 support in GCSE Maths and English. These in-person sessions in Enfield offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
* This job is in person in the Enfield area.
* Hours: 2 hours per week (with potential to increase)
* Day(s): Tuesday - Thursday
* Time(s): during school hours
* Subject and Level: GCSE Maths or English
* Start date: Immediate start
* Rate of pay: £30ph
What You'll Do
* Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals needs and study level
* Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of the student
* Provide targeted support for students with SEN
* Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment
* Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in
* Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager
Requirements
We're looking for someone who has:
* Bachelors Degree preferred
* Specialist SEN training
* Experience working with students with SEN
* Experience working withs students with cognitive learning difficulties
* 3+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
* An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The right to be self employed in the UK
