Your new companyWe are looking to recruiting personable, flexible and motivated support workers to support our qualified staff with the delivery of care to our service users. You will be involved in the psychological needs of a diverse group of service users with varying degrees of mental and physical issues. You will be caring and attentive with the skills to build strong and trusting relationships with people. It is also important that you work well in a team as you will work alongside qualified nurses and staff from other professions. Please note, you will be working with individuals who are coming out on bail from the prison system. Your new roleWorking closely with the residents to manage their needs. This will involve liaising with other agencies to help the people you support keep their place within the property through supporting their finances and promoting their independence. You will be completing activities to promote and build self-esteem, whilst making sure the residents are adhering to bail agreements and tenancy agreements. Typical shifts will be 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday (one evening and one Saturday every 6 weeks ). What you'll need to succeed.You will need at least 6 months experience in a social care role within the last 2 years, desirable experience in the mental health field, dealing with drug and alcohol abuse, helping people with housing and their benefits.
