Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust Paediatric team is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated clinical support worker to work within the paediatric team.
It is an exciting time to join the Paediatric Team at Walsall due to the expansion and progression of our service. The team is leading the way in progressing virtual wards, and a new team structure is creating a dynamic way of team working. The department comprises:
* 21-bedded inpatient ward
* 12-bedded PAU
* Surgical day case unit
* Paediatric virtual ward
* Children's Community nursing team
* Children's Outpatients department
Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and motivated clinical support workers with experience working with children and young people, who can work as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities
* Provide high standards of nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse.
* Carry out delegated tasks including direct and indirect care.
* Demonstrate effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
* Maintain high standards in record keeping.
* Assist with patient observations and accurately record on PEWS chart.
* Support registered nurses with clinical treatments and investigations as appropriate, ensuring patient safety and dignity.
* Chaperone patients during examinations, maintaining privacy and dignity.
* Adhere to Trust Infection Control Policies.
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
* NVQ Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent, or working towards it.
* GCSE in English and Maths.
Experience (Essential)
* Recent experience caring for children in a healthcare setting.
Skills (Essential)
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication skills.
