Kendal, UK | Full-Time | £40K + Performance Bonus

About Us

As Kendal's most popular family-friendly destination, Romneys offers 11 beautifully appointed self-catering boutique apartments, ideal for both short stays and extended visits. The venue features a spacious 120-seat dining area, a traditional bar, and an expansive outdoor terrace, perfect for relaxed gatherings in any season.

We pride ourselves on delivering a distinctive experience that seamlessly blends refined cuisine, welcoming both local patrons and discerning travellers from afar.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced General Manager working alongside our existing GM to lead our thriving hospitality business. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee all aspects of operations, from front-of-house excellence to back-of-house efficiency, and boutique accommodation management. You'll be the heartbeat of the venue, driving team culture, guest satisfaction, and commercial success.

What You'll Be Responsible For

* Operational Excellence: Lead daily operations across restaurant, bar, and accommodation with precision and flair.
* Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team across FOH, kitchen, and housekeeping.
* Guest Experience: Champion a culture of hospitality that ensures every guest feels welcomed, valued, and delighted.
* Financial Stewardship: Manage budgets, optimise costs, and implement revenue-driving strategies including local marketing initiatives.
* Compliance & Standards: Uphold rigorous standards in health & safety, licensing, and food hygiene.
* Accommodation Oversight: Ensure seamless guest check-ins/outs and maintain impeccable room standards.
* Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with local suppliers, residents, and businesses to enhance our reputation and reach.
