Tool Setter, £15 – £17 per hour, Walsall
• £15 – £17 per hour depending on experience + holiday, pension scheme and ongoing training.
• Full-time, permanent role – 37.5 hours per week. Monday-Thursday 7am-3.30pm. Friday 7am-12.30pm.
• Well-established engineering business with varied presswork and tooling.
Are you an experienced Tool Setter / Press Setter looking for a steady role with good hourly pay and consistent work?
Tool Setter Role:
• Set mechanical presses up to 50 tons
• Set hydraulic presses up to 200 tons (Lagan press experience an advantage)
• Set and operate double action and fly presses
• Operate presses on development or small batch work when required
• Work from technical drawings and maintain quality standards
• Maintain tooling organisation, housekeeping and HSE standards
• Communicate with the Works Manager and Operations team
About you:
• Proven press setting experience (mechanical / hydraulic / fly presses)
• Able to work accurately to drawings
• Quality-driven and safety-focused
• Organised approach to press shop tooling
• Lathe experience beneficial but not essential
This Tool Setter Job is based in Walsall and is commutable from Birmingham, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Aldridge, Cannock, Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield & surrounding areas.
