Our Mobile Site Engineering team is at the heart of telecommunications - fuelling the mobile network that keeps millions connected every day. As a Technical Co-ordinator, you'll join a passionate team in ensuring out network data stays up to date, whilst earning a £30,000 starting salary!
Make things happen
As an apprentice within our Mobile Site Engineering team, you'll play a key role in looking after the data behind our mobile network - keeping it accurate, up to date and ready for future growth. You'll support with site budgets, working on improving data processes and assisting the wider team with the information they need to plan and design effectively. You'll also have the chance to get involved in technical discussions, connect with auditors, and occasionally visit sites to see how everything comes together on the ground. Day-to-day, you could be:
- Interpreting site data for accuracy and efficiency to enable new areas of engineering and cost efficiencies
- Collaborating with engineers and auditors within the mobile engineering team to define guidance documentation and standards
- Working alongside pioneering AI programmes on our digital journey

What is involved with studying for an apprenticeship?
This apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to become skilled in your role, and combines on the job learning and academic study, where you'll spend approximately 20% of your working hours completing learning with one of our training providers. At the end of the programme, you'll receive a nationally recognised qualification.

You will need at least 2 GCSEs level 4-9, or a level 3 equivalent to be eligible for this scheme.

We're looking for curious, tech-savvy individuals who enjoy working independently as well as part of a team. If you're enthusiastic about learning, especially in the world of telecoms, this could be the perfect role for you. Some awareness of CAD drawings is helpful, but what matters most is a genuine interest in developing your skills - whether that's exploring how mobile sites operate or building confidence with tools like Microsoft Power Platform. Other qualities we'd like to see include:
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- An analytical approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication and organisation skills

Not only will you be working towards a level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship, but we'll support you towards Certiport IT Specialist Databases and CertNexus Data Analysis and Visualisation in Excel certifications-helping you build your foundation in data management. Enjoy a starting salary of £27,000 with the opportunity to increase at 12-months to £30,000. Final salaries start from £35,000 upon successful completion.
