Finance Manager | Outskirts of Maidstone | up to £50k DOE + bonus
Are you an experienced accountant who enjoys process improvement and working with autonomy? Were looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to manage the day-to-day operations in a dynamic, growing business. This is a standalone role where youll play a pivotal role in the business growth and continued success.
Working closely with the Directors, this role will be responsible for establishing and formalising the finance function, with the opportunity to grow a small team in the long term.
Key Duties
Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and ledgers
VAT returns, payroll coordination, and expense management
Prepare monthly management accounts and cash-flow forecasts
Deliver clear financial insights to support strategic decisions
Oversee budgeting, margin analysis, and year-end preparation
Maintain robust financial controls and improve processes
Undertaking strategic analysis and providing insight to SLT
Undertaking research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance
The Ideal Candidate
Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience managing end-to-end accounting ideally within an SME environment
Strong management accounting skills and knowledge of compliance
Comfortable working independently and proactively
Flexibility ability to work in a fast-paced environment demonstrating flexibility to meet changing priorities.
The ability to build strong relationships with and manage key stakeholders
