Due to continued growth, MET Group Power Systems are seeking an Operations Manager to join our Manchester team and help us streamline planning, client liaison, and day-to-day operations.
About the Role
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of project calendars, client engagement, and internal collaboration with directors and department heads. This role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a hands-on approach to daily planning and execution. Training will be provided and previous experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate, and monitor project calendars to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource allocation.
* Act as a primary point of contact for clients, understanding needs, managing expectations, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
* Oversee day-to-day planning of jobs, including scheduling, logistics, and task prioritisation.
* Liaise with directors and managers across the business to align objectives, report progress, and resolve issues.
* Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in operations.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular status updates to leadership.
* Identify risks and propose mitigations to keep projects on track.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in an operations management or equivalent role.
* Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities.
* Strong calendar management and scheduling expertise.
* Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.
* Experience working with directors, managers, and senior stakeholders.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities, multitask, and adapt to changing requirements.
* Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
* Comfortable with a hybrid work model (Manchester office with work-from-home flexibility).
